Robert DoQui (April 20, 1934 – February 9, 2008), was an American actor who had profuse involvement in both film and television. He is most renowned for his roles: King George in the 1973 film Coffy, Wade in Robert Altman's 1975 film Nashville, and Sgt. Warren Reed in the RoboCop series. Additionally, his distinct voice as Pablo Robertson defined the Harlem Globetrotters cartoon series from 1970 to 1973. DoQui was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and served dutifully in the U.S. Air Force before making his way to Hollywood in the 1960s. His acting career started with prominence in a variety of notable films, television shows, and even an animated series. DoQui was married to Janee Michelle from 1969 until 1978. His extensive array of performances includes appearances in Walking Tall Part 2, Centennial, The Court-Martial of Jackie Robinson, I Dream of Jeannie, Happy Days, The Jeffersons, The Fall Guy, Daniel Boone, Gunsmoke, Adam-12, The Parkers, Family Affair, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Tragically, DoQui passed away on February 9, 2008, at the age of 73, from natural causes.
