Maikol Yordan de Viaje Perdido 2014

Maikol Yordan Soto Sibaja [Mario Chacón] is a humble farmer who migrates to the city in search of employment. After facing a string of failures, he returns to his countryside home, where he is greeted by his family: his wife Concepción [Natalia Monge], their eight children, his grandmother Doña Milagro [Anabelle Ulloa], and his cousin Heriberto [Boris Alonso Sosa]. Back among familiar fields, he discovers a looming threat: the property he lives on is nearly seized due to mounting debts, and a shrewd businessman named Malavassi [Adal Ramones] has his eye on buying the land. In a bid to rewrite his fate, Maikol Yordan wins a contest that covers all his expenses to travel to Europe, hoping to find work and seek financial help from a distant cousin.

Once in Europe, the journey tests his resolve as he is pursued by Cordero [Daniel Moreno], Malavassi’s right-hand man, who repeatedly tries to derail his plans. Yet the trip also opens doors to new friendships that begin to shape his path. Maikol Yordan meets Carolina [María José León], a Colombian waitress in a London pub who is an aspiring model, and she becomes one of the first people he leans on in a distant, unfamiliar world. He also crosses paths with François [Erik Hernández], a charming French rogue, whose wit and risk-taking ways add color to Maikol’s European odyssey. And there is Greivin [Édgar Murillo], a Costa Rican photographer in Paris who goes by the nickname Jean Luc, a figure who helps Maikol navigate the cultural maze of two great cities while offering his own brand of practical support.

As the narrative unfolds, Maikol navigates new friendships, local quirks, and the pressures of distant relatives while clinging to the hope of securing a future that could save his home. The story blends humor with heartfelt moments, painting a portrait of resilience, family bonds, and the dashed and renewed dreams that come with migration.
