Adal Ramones (Adalberto Javier Ramones Martínez) is a celebrated Mexican television presenter, comedian and actor whose influence on Latin‑American pop culture extends beyond the borders of his native country. Born on December 3, 1961 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Ramones earned a communications degree from Universidad Regiomontana before launching a career that would make him a household name throughout the Spanish‑speaking world. He first gained national prominence as the host of Otro Rollo, a Televisa variety show that blended satire, musical performances and audience‑participation games, and which was syndicated to more than fifty countries, including the United States where it aired on Univision. Over the course of its twelve‑year run (1995‑2007) Ramones welcomed an eclectic roster of international stars such as Britney Spears, Sylvester Stallone, Will Smith, Shakira and The Rock, turning each episode into a cultural crossroads that showcased his quick wit and improvisational skill.
