Three years after leaving his life as a stripper behind, Mike (Channing Tatum) is busy managing his own furniture business. However, a call from Tarzan (Kevin Nash) delivers shocking news: Dallas is reportedly “gone.” Fearing the worst, Mike rushes to a hotel, only to discover that the surviving members of the Kings of Tampa are reveling at a pool party. They reveal that Dallas has abandoned them to pursue a new show in Macau and took “The Kid” along. The Kings share their ambitious plan: to enjoy a triumphant farewell to their stripping careers at a convention in Myrtle Beach.
Feeling invigorated after hearing a familiar song, Mike has a nostalgic dance moment, prompting him to join his friends on their adventurous journey. The group travels in a fro-yo van owned by Tito (Adam Rodríguez) and Tobias (Gabriel Iglesias). Their first destination is Mad Mary’s, where Mike proves his commitment to the road trip by participating in an amateur queen contest, followed closely by his friends. The next stop is the beach, where he aims to mend fences with Ken (Matt Bomer). Their reunion brings closure, and Mike also crosses paths with a photographer named Zoe (Amber Heard), who mentions her plans to go to New York. Although they share a spark, Mike decides against pursuing her.
As they continue their journey, Mike suggests refreshing their act. During a pit stop at a gas station, he encourages Richie (Joe Manganiello) to make the cashier smile through an impromptu striptease, which turns out to be a hit and motivates the group to let go of their previous routines. However, the fun takes a turn when Tobias, under the influence of MDMA, crashes the van, resulting in a concussion for him but leaving the rest of the group unharmed. At the hospital, Mike confesses that his furniture business is struggling and that he’s no longer in a relationship with Brooke.
Seeking a new emcee, Mike takes the guys to a strip club owned by Rome (Jada Pinkett Smith), a woman from his past. Although he impresses her with his skills, she hesitates to support them. Instead, she arranges for Andre (Donald Glover), a talented rapper, to give them a ride to their next destination.
Upon arriving at a mansion, they enter expecting fun, but find themselves welcomed by Nancy (Andie MacDowell) and her group of middle-aged friends. Initially feeling awkward due to Nancy’s playful teasing, the atmosphere shifts as the night carries on. Here, Mike meets Zoe again, who shares that she became another photographer’s assistant just for personal reasons. He encourages her to join them at the convention to help her regain her lost confidence.
After a spontaneous encounter with Richie, Nancy lends them her ex-husband’s car for the trip to Myrtle Beach. To their surprise, they find Rome has shown up at the convention with Andre and Malik (Stephen “Witch” Boss), agreeing to emcee for them after having a change of heart. With their plans solidified, the group performs at the convention, where their act is met with overwhelming applause.
During a standout moment in the show, Mike invites Zoe on stage, culminating in a celebration filled with fireworks and good vibes as Tobias returns triumphantly with the fro-yo van, marking a memorable Fourth of July for everyone involved.
