Katharina von Bora, a nun living a life of devotion, is profoundly influenced by the writings of Martin Luther in the early 1520s. Challenging her former beliefs, she escapes with other nuns, arriving in Wittenberg without resources or family support. There, she encounters Luther personally and ultimately decides to marry him. As his wife, Katharina proves to be a valued housekeeper, a respected confidante, and the mother of their family, playing an integral role in his life and work.
