Charlie ‘Goodtimes’ Bontempo (Joe Pesci) and his wife, Grace (Helen Mirren), operate a legal brothel called the Love Ranch on a sprawling, remote property near Reno, Nevada. Grace’s mother was a prostitute, so she understands the business from the inside, but it is Charlie who persuades her to open a licensed operation in a part of Nevada where the law allows it. The arrangement creates a contained, carefully managed world where privacy, safety, and order are prioritized, and where staff and security work to keep things running smoothly while staying within legal boundaries.

Life at the ranch has its predictable rhythms, but it is not without headaches. Unruly clients require a steady hand with a bouncer, and the women who work there must adhere to house rules to maintain a steadier, more controlled environment. The story takes a sharp turn when Armando ‘Bruza’ Bonavena (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), a professional heavyweight from Argentina who has fought legends in the ring, signs a contract to train at the Love Ranch. Bruza moves onto the property, settling into a trailer and beginning a regimen that integrates his boxing career with life at the brothel. Grace is surprised by Bruza’s willingness to live and train at the facility, and his outgoing personality gradually wins her over. As Bruza becomes more involved, he begins to voice an interest in partnering with Grace to run the business, a proposition that unsettles Charlie because he cannot fully ignore the growing bond between them.
