Gautham, Harish Kalyan, a software engineer, proposes to his colleague and girlfriend Meera, Ivana, on their second anniversary, and she says yes. Both families, including Gautham’s widowed mother Leela, Nadhiya, come together to finalize the alliance, but Meera soon realizes that he expects her to move in with Leela after the wedding, which leads her to call off the engagement. After the initial fallout, Meera and Gautham find a path back to each other, with a crucial condition: she wants a big, blended-family trip to Coorg so that both sides can bond, and if things still don’t click, they’ll part as friends.
