Leeches 2016

Raisa, Sayani Gupta, is part of a college swim team that turns to anabolic steroids to boost performance. During a day trip to a nearby lake, a few teammates pick up leeches, and the creatures feed on the steroids in their blood. The leeches are flushed down a shower drain, where they grow to terrifying sizes and return for more feeding. As several team members and a college administrator die, the remaining swimmers and their girlfriend Mariam Sherin Bhatt devise a plan to wipe out the leech threat. They intend to lure the monstrous leeches to the campus swimming pool, using one swimmer as bait, and then electrify the pool to fry them. The plan is nearly successful, but the team coach—who has become infected by a leech—attacks the group, delaying the electrification long enough for one more swimmer to be killed by the monsters. Eventually the coach is subdued and the switch is thrown, frying the leeches. In the final moments, a surviving swimmer is revealed to have had a hand in creating the leeches, a mad scientist twist that hints breeding stock still exists.
