Los Angeles learns that the city’s minor celebrities are being stalked when The Reality Star Brooke Hogan is found wandering the Hollywood hills wrapped in bloodied bandages. The Slasher, Andy Dick, a masked figure consumed by a nihilistic hatred of reality TV, begins abducting and torturing various stars while amassing a large, devoted following that tracks his every move through online videos.

The Slasher stalks The Heiress Elizabeth Morris as she dines with her friend, the Socialite, and, after swapping a stash of cocaine with a pair of Drug Dealers in a cheap motel room, he escalates his cruelty. The Heiress is dragged from her room and later the Socialite is taken as well, triggering a wave of media interviews about the phenomenon. As residents weigh the costs and consequences of this new, shadowy predator, many seem indifferent, hinting that society might be better off without these glamorous targets.

Meanwhile, The Actress Mischa Barton hosts a party attended by her friend The Stripper Marisa Lauren, and The Slasher nearly drowns The Teen Mom Tori Black in a pool before abducting her. The kidnapped Teen Mom’s desperate fate is broadcast in a chilling on-camera reveal that pushes her parents to plead for mercy on television. The Slasher’s reign of terror continues as he abducts The Mayor Eric Roberts after the latter’s drunken car encounter outside a seedy bar, further intensifying the city’s fear and fascination.

The Producer Tim Burke dreams of turning the horror into a movie as The Slasher compounds his crimes, building an ever-expanding catalog of humiliating auditions that he posts online for his followers’ entertainment. The Stripper’s captivity grows more perilous, and The Teen Mom’s death—on camera, with The Slasher dressed as Marilyn Monroe—shocks viewers nationwide, while the killer’s gruesome show of power erodes any remaining sense of safety.

The Strike of fear deepens as The Slasher cuts off The Socialite’s fingers, a cruel display that underscores how personal and public his crimes have become. He briefly attends a Killers Anonymous group therapy session, then slips away, choosing his next victim with cold calculation. The Slasher then abducts The Pop Star Drake Bell at a boxing gym, and after a haircut, launches another brutal strike against The Heiress in his hidden lair, intensifying the cat-and-mouse game.

As the hunt shifts, The Actress is seized again while she searches for her missing stripper friend, and The Slasher releases The Stripper to prolong the chase. The Stripper escapes to an abandoned gas station, where online-enabled cameras broadcast her pleas, but no one at home responds. The pursuit rockets across the desert as The Slasher relentlessly drives after her, ultimately running her over in a devastating moment of finality.

Back in the desert, the Drug Dealers regroup to locate an underground drug lab, and one of them reveals himself to be an Undercover Cop, complicating the killer’s plans. The other Drug Dealer shoots the Undercover Cop, but The Slasher retaliates with a machete, killing the remaining dealer and reclaiming his control over the crumbling narrative.

The Slasher then loads the van with his last captives and heads back toward the city, where he encounters The Reporter Abigail Wright, a local newswoman who has been chronicling the carnage. The two share a charged moment, as she seems to “understand him,” a lie that lures them into a dangerous alliance. Police finally converge on The Slasher’s desert lair with an ambulance in tow, discovering The Mayor still captive and forced to watch apologetic rants from disgraced politicians. The Actress is also rescued in the flurry of activity that follows.

In a tense finale, The Slasher escapes with The Reporter, and, in a final, unsettling twist, uses a remote to unlock the back doors of his van. The Producer, The Pop Star [Drake Bell], The Heiress [Elizabeth Morris], and The Socialite are all freed as the city reevaluates the fragile boundary between fame and fear, leaving Los Angeles with a disturbing reminder of how easily reality television’s glamour can lash back in brutal, personal ways.
