Two convicts, Mustafa and Vimal Kumar, escape during transport from Peermade to Ernakulam, handcuffed together and facing a uncertain road ahead. Mustafa is a petty thief serving time for stealing a watch, while Vimal is in custody for a murder he insists he didn’t commit. In a bid to clear his name, Vimal offers Mustafa a deal: help him find the real killer and in exchange they split ₹3 lakhs. The uneasy partnership takes them through dense forests where they confront the dangers of the wild as they push toward answers and a possible path to freedom.

Vimal’s backstory unfolds as the two travel: he is a privileged man who falls in love with Shalini, a woman who cannot hear, and the couple become engaged. During a rainy night, after they reach Shalini’s Aunt’s house, someone enters the residence and Vimal races to help. Despite his efforts, Shalini dies after a terrifying moment on a terrace. Vimal is quickly framed for her murder, and the case becomes murky: the only clue suggesting the real killer is that Shalini herself stabbed the attacker.

The film reveals a startling twist: Mustafa is the actual killer. He had stolen the watch and planted it in Shalini’s bag at the mall. On the night he returns to take the watch from her home, Shalini sees him and, terrified, falls from the terrace. Vimal confronts the truth and learns that Mustafa killed Shalini, though it was an accident. Mustafa accepts responsibility to shield Vimal from the police and goes to jail for five years. The story closes on a bittersweet note, as Vimal, now seen in Dubai, sends Mustafa a cheque for ₹10 lakhs for keeping his word and starting a new life after prison. The ending lingers on themes of trust, fate, and the gray areas between crime and innocence, leaving viewers with a sense of closure and the hope of redemption.
