Abhay is an army recruit who spends his holidays in Nepal, and while many women in the area entertain marriage proposals for him, his heart remains with his childhood love, Kesar, whom he hasn’t seen in years.

During a visit to her village, he adopts the alias Laure to test whether their bond can endure without knowing his true identity. He goes through the motions of courting under a false name, hoping to see if Kesar’s feelings survive the deception. When he gathers the courage to propose, she declines, revealing that she loves another man. The rejection hits him hard, and he returns to Kathmandu with a heavy heart, haunted by what might have been.

Yet destiny twists the tale in a surprising way: Kesar realizes that Laure is the person she truly desires, and she sets out to find him. Just as their paths seem poised to converge, catastrophe strikes. Kesar is kidnapped, sending Abhay into a relentless pursuit of the kidnapper. The chase ends in a brutal accident that leaves him gravely injured.

Four months pass, and Abhay remains hospitalized, driven by the need to find Kesar. He eventually locates Kesar’s kidnapper, Don, and his henchmen, leading to a violent confrontation. In a devastating revelation, the captors tell Abhay that Kesar was raped and murdered on the day she was kidnapped. Consumed by grief and rage, Abhay kills the kidnapper. The film closes with him injured, crying, and clutching a piece of cloth that carried Kesar’s last memory. A final on-screen message about rape cases delivers a stark didactic note to the audience.
