In 1941, a Capelis XC-12 transport aircraft en route between Cuba and Puerto Rico is swept off course by a fierce storm, slipping low on fuel and forcing an emergency crash-landing on a remote island. The pilot, James “Mac” McCarthy, struggles to pick up any radio transmissions over the Caribbean and is left with a grim reality. Among the passengers, Bill Summers and his valet, Jefferson ‘Jeff’ Jackson, seek shelter inside a secluded mansion owned by Dr. Miklos Sangre and his wife Alyce Sangre.

Once inside, fear and confusion mount as Jackson becomes certain the house is haunted by zombies, a suspicion that spreads through the uneasy group. They soon uncover a far darker secret: in the cellar, a voodoo rite is being conducted by the doctor, who is secretly a foreign spy trying to extract war intelligence from a captured US Admiral whose plane went down on the same island. The tension among the survivors deepens as eerie events unfold, and the pilot [McCarthy] begins to fall under Sangre’s spell.

Summers fights to keep everyone safe as the horror escalates. He confronts the hypnotic influence and manages to disrupt the ritual, but the undead respond with lethal fury. The doctor fires at the pilot, but falls to his death in a firepit, and with Sangre dead, the zombies break free from his control. The mansion descends into chaos as the released zombies threaten to overwhelm the remaining survivors, leaving them to confront the consequences of a night where science, superstition, and war colluded on a remote island.
