What Is Kill the Poor About?
The premise of Kill the Poor without spoilers.
Joe, a struggling resident of Manhattan, enters a marriage of convenience with Annabelle, a French woman needing assistance with her green card application. Their arrangement brings them face-to-face with the city’s competitive rental market and draws Joe into a complex power struggle within his tenement building. Appointed head of the tenants association, he finds himself confronting the neighborhood's criminal underbelly and must navigate a web of deceit and danger to protect himself and Annabelle.
