Because of a taxi strike, a diverse group of tourists, mostly unrelated to each other, become stranded at New Mal Junction. The ensemble includes honeymooners, family vacationers, an ailing mother and her son, a priest, an actress and her mentally challenged brother, a trekker, a bus conductor, and a retired teacher. The priest Ardhendu Banerjee manages to arrange a bus from the church to reach North Bengal, and the other travelers join him for the ride, hoping for a way out. The journey soon takes a dark turn when the bus encounters a terrible accident and plummets off a cliff into an abyss. Miraculously, those on board survive, yet they are left with injuries and a profound sense of isolation. Struck by trauma and cut off from any form of human contact, they realize that climbing back to safety won’t be simple, especially with daylight fading and a steep 400–500 foot ascent still looming.

With the daylight slipping away, they decide to spend the night right there and search for another route out the following day. In the hush of those hours, a suggestion from the priest shifts the mood from fear to something stranger: a game that invites everyone to reveal a secret they’ve never muster the courage to speak aloud. The idea is to cast those secrets into the abyss as a kind of confession, a chance to start anew once dawn breaks. The group agrees, and what unfolds is a slow, unfolding reveal of truths, each confession punctuated by the tense silence of the forested surroundings.

As the game progresses, the atmosphere grows increasingly tense and intimate. The participants begin to expose their deepest fears, past regrets, hidden desires, and long-buried memories, one after another, until the small hours of the night stretch on toward the early morning. The revelations are not merely personal; they begin to alter the dynamics among the travelers, testing loyalties, trust, and the fragile boundaries of privacy. The quiet tension of the night gives way to a charged, almost ceremonial mood as secrets surface and old wounds reopen, reshaping how each person sees the others and themselves.

In a stunning and unsettling twist, the film culminates with the revelation that all the tourists died in the initial accident, and the game that has animated the entire narrative had, in fact, not happened at all. Instead, the characters lie dead on a truck, their bodies a silent testament to a tragedy that never found a chance to end. Yet the closing image offers a strange, haunting moment: the remaining figures walk together through the forested abyss toward a path of peace as the credits begin to roll.
