Inspector Vijay rescues Lavanya from a group of goons and quickly learns she had planned to elope with her boyfriend. He escorts her to the rendezvous site, and while waiting for the partner, he reflects on the moment he first fell for Samyuktha Varma, a café waitress, when she returned his lost purse. In parallel, he corners danger and helps bring down a kidnapper named Ajay Bhupathi. Back at home, he is crushed to learn that Samyuktha Varma is engaged, a revelation that shades his mood with bittersweet memories.

The next morning, with the fiancé conspicuously absent, Vijay takes Lavanya to his house. When Lavanya’s supposed fiancé doesn’t appear again, they witness a car accident that involves Vijay’s mother. At the hospital, a steep medical bill of 50 lakh rupees lands in their path. Lavanya reveals herself as the niece of Mahendra Varma and asks Vijay to stage a kidnapping so a ransom of 50 lakhs can be paid, arguing that this ruse would also help her win acceptance from her family. Following this, Vikramaditya Varma — Mahendra Varma’s son — informs the police and accompanies them to the meeting point. Vijay, ever the tactician, secures the ransom without exposing his identity and hands the money over, ensuring his mother’s safety in the process. On the way home, he witnesses a car crash and immediately calls for an ambulance, tending to the wounded driver himself.

The following day brings another shock: Samyukta is actually Mahendra Varma’s niece, and Vikramaditya has been orchestrating a complex frame-up to get Vijay out of the way. Without revealing his identity, Ajay Bhupathi tries to pull Vijay deeper into the trap by signaling that his game is over. With the help of his trusted Constable P. Sudarshan, Vijay locates Ajay and confronts him, only to learn that Ajay is not the kidnapper and that the body of the girl he had saved is missing. Vaishnavi, Samyukta’s friend, arrives and explains that Samyukta loved Vijay all along, and that Samyukta’s last call came from a shopping mall. Using the mall’s CCTV footage, Vijay tracks the kidnapper’s vehicle and discovers the man behind the deception is Aravindh, who lives at Aravindh Villa. With Vaishnavi by his side, he traces the clues to the villa and realizes Aravindh is the same man he had sent to the hospital the night of the accident.

Vikramaditya’s manipulation comes into sharper focus: he is the mastermind behind the conspiracy, and the only misstep he made was to call with the same phone Vijay had asked him to replace. He reveals that Samyukta had decided to work as a café waitress to better understand her customers, and that her engagement to secure the company heir position was part of his plan to push her toward danger. He had abducted her and arranged for Vijay to be blamed, using Lavanya as a pawn and orchestrating the attack on Vijay’s mother to force money into his hands. He also coerced Aravindh into the scheme, intending to eliminate Samyukta and frame Vijay.

As the truth unfolds, Vijay realizes that he has already saved Samyukta and that Vaishnavi was instrumental in guiding him toward the truth. When Vikramaditya returns to Aravindh Villa, Vijay arrives to confront him, arriving with the knowledge that Aravindh is no longer a threat and that Samyukta’s location must be secured. In a tense confrontation, Vijay disrupts Vikramaditya’s plan, rescues his mother, and brings Vikramaditya to justice with the help of the police. The film closes on a note of vindication and affection as Samyukta is revealed to be the heir to S. company, and she and Vijay confess their love for each other.
