Raghavayya and Ram Mohan Rao are brothers-in-law, but they are at loggerheads due to a long-standing family feud. Raghavayya, nearing his sixtieth year, is preparing for his Sashtipoorti ceremony and, at his wife’s request, decides to invite his daughter-in-law and grandchildren who live in Bombay for the first time. Among them is Raghu, his estranged but strikingly handsome grandson.
When Raghu arrives in Ramapuram, he endures awkward moments within the household and faces a mix of curiosity and simmering tension. During his stay, he meets Manga, a charming and spirited young woman. The two exchange playful pranks and small acts of kindness, which gradually blossom into a deep, unspoken like for one another. Despite their growing affection, neither dares to voice their feelings, yet Raghu’s steady warmth begins to win over the entire family, earning their trust and even their affection.
Beneath the surface, Raghu begins to uncover the roots of the old feud. Years earlier, Bhaskar Rao Bhaskar Rao was supposed to marry Ram Mohan Rao’s daughter Rajani, but he loved his college mate Kousalya and left for Mumbai to marry her. Rajani’s heartbreak led to her death, which Ram Mohan Rao bitterly blamed on Raghavayya, while his fiery son Erra Babu Erra Babu harbored his own resentment toward the elder man. The revelations lay bare how a tragedy from the past poisoned present relationships and fueled ongoing conflict.
With patience and timely intervention, Raghu works to heal old wounds and pave a path toward reconciliation. The families agree to Manga’s marriage to Ram Mohan Rao’s grandson, a union seen as a symbol of renewed ties. In a selfless act, Raghu sacrifices his own love for Manga to ensure everyone’s happiness. But just as preparations for the wedding begin, Manga goes missing, stirring worry and confusion through the village.
As the truth gradually comes to light, the families realize Raghu and Manga’s feelings for each other. Erra Babu lends his support to their union, and the path toward forgiveness widens. In the end, the two lovers are brought together, and the feuding families start to rebuild their bonds around a future that centers on acceptance, sacrifice, and the possibility of peace.
