Sudhakaran is a manager in an interstate bus office who pours his heart into his relationship with Ramani, planning a future together after she completes her studies. A moment of fragile hope is shattered when Sudhakaran’s father, a palmist, reads Ramani’s palm and foresees a tragedy: their marriage will end in Sudhakaran’s death. The looming fear drives Ramani to break off the engagement, leaving Sudhakaran heartbroken and increasingly resentful of the old superstition his father represents. In the wake of the prediction, Ramani eventually marries another man, a decision that pushes Sudhakaran into a deep depression.

Panicker notices the downward spiral in his favorite employee and makes a promise to find a bride worthy of Sudhakaran’s respect and love. Though hesitant at first, Sudhakaran agrees to this plan and marries Hridayakumari, a simple but stubborn young woman who enters the marriage with a childlike willfulness that unsettles him and his mother. The new wife’s behavior leads them to suspect she is not entirely well, and the dynamics within the household grow tense.

As the relationship strains, Sudhakaran makes a drastic, morally fraught choice: he becomes entangled in the telemarketing schemes of a contract killer, paying to have Hridayakumari murdered. The plan unravels when he returns home to find Hridayakumari has undergone a change of heart. Sudhakaran, now grappling with fear and guilt, wants to back out, but the web of deceit makes escape difficult. He learns she is pregnant, a revelation that intensifies his panic and desperate attempts to reach out to the killers in a bid to halt the plan—efforts that prove futile as the danger remains, and his struggle to shield Hridayakumari from a possible murder becomes a central tension.

The narrative culminates in a bold, multi-dimensional exploration of the characters’ true natures, exposing hidden motives, fears, and loyalties that challenge the surface of their relationships.
