What Is Jitterbug Jive About?
The premise of Jitterbug Jive without spoilers.
Olive invites Popeye and Bluto, but thinks Popeye’s old‑fashioned ways are dull next to Bluto’s zoot suit. Popeye’s attempts at a waltz, taffy‑pulling, pin‑the‑tail, croquet and apple‑bobbing are sabotaged. Bluto adds quick‑dry cement to the apple water, traps Popeye and drives off with Olive. Cement‑encased Popeye rolls into a vegetable shop, finds spinach, breaks free, defeats Bluto and wins Olive.
