Shakti, Vijay, is the adopted son of the Madurai crime boss Sivan and serves as his right-hand man, bodyguard, and driver. Sivan lives with his wife Parvati, their son Vignesh, and their daughter Mahalakshmi. Shakti harbors a deep hatred for the police, a feeling rooted in a childhood trauma when a police officer killed his father, who happened to work as a driver for Sivan. This anger is so intense that he loathes the khaki color worn by officers, and he keeps even Sivan’s watchman from wearing a khaki uniform. He teases his friend Gopal, Soori, and his romantic life takes a hit when Shanthi, Kajal Agarwal, is an Inspector.

When Ajay Rathore, the newly appointed police commissioner of Madurai, insults Sivan, Sivan forces Shakti to become an IPS officer to protect the crime syndicate and prove the commissioner’s plan wrong. Reluctantly, Shakti takes charge as ACP of Madurai City East, and he gives free rein to Sivan’s gang, who wreak havoc across the city. A gas leak from one of their activities destroys a school and nearby buildings, killing several people, including women and children. This tragedy shocks Shakti and marks a turning point, steering him toward a more honest path. The moment he dons the khaki uniform for the first time, he confronts Sivan’s henchmen who had assaulted a woman at the police station, and this intensifies the cat-and-mouse game between father and son.

With Shanthi and Gopal at his side, Shakti works to root out Sivan’s influence in Madurai. His efforts pay off when he is promoted to DCP for arresting most of Sivan’s gang members and beneficiaries in a single night. But the danger deepens when he learns that Sivan’s other adopted son, minister Aadhi Kesavan, is plotting to kill Sivan himself in revenge for his father’s death. Aadhi tries to draw Shakti into a trap by planning to kill Sivan’s son Vignesh and pin the crime on Shakti. Sivan uncovers the scheme, reconciles with Shakti, and the two join forces to confront Aadhi and his henchmen. Shakti defeats Aadhi and hands him over to Sivan, who gives Aadhi a grim choice: kill himself or be killed.

The next day, under Sivan’s orders, the police come to arrest him. Shakti reluctantly leads the arrest, and the pair walk out of the house together, their distinctive gait echoing the uneasy bond that once bound them. The film also features special appearances in the song Jingunamani by Scarlett Mellish Wilson and Hazel Crowney.
