Jericho Ridge Echo Score Breakdown

Jericho Ridge delivers a tightly wound siege thriller that benefits from confident direction and kinetic action, while the central performance anchors the tension. Critics uniformly commend the film's pacing, suspenseful set pieces, and effective craftsmanship, though user reactions are polarized, with some describing the film as incoherent and poorly acted. The blend of strong technical execution and mixed audience reception results in a solid yet uneven overall impression, positioning the movie as an engaging but not universally compelling experience.

Our own 0–100 rating, built from five aspects: art, character, story, the sensory experience and how well a film rewatches.

  • Art & Craft 80

In terms of art and craft, the film exhibits disciplined direction and precise editing that sustain its claustrophobic atmosphere. Critics note the economical pacing and kinetic gunfights, highlighting a well‑constructed visual style that reinforces tension. While a few viewers question the overall execution, the technical components consistently receive commendation, indicating a high level of craftsmanship overall.

  • Character & Emotion 70

When it comes to character and emotion, the lead performance is repeatedly praised for its grounded realism and magnetic presence. Critics emphasize the depth of the protagonist, yet several audience members criticize the acting as subpar. This split reflects a generally strong central portrayal tempered by perceived weaknesses in supporting roles, resulting in a moderately high character rating.

  • Story & Flow 75

The story and flow maintain a relentless pace, delivering a suspenseful siege narrative that many reviewers find engaging. Critics applaud the coherent plot, inventive action sequences, and sustained tension, while a subset of users point to implausible logic and uneven development. The overall narrative strength remains solid, though occasional plot holes prevent a higher score.

  • Sensory Experience 70

Sensory experience is marked by vivid gunfight choreography and a taut soundscape that heighten the film’s intensity. Critics comment on the kinetic visual style and effective sound design, creating an immersive environment. Although audience feedback rarely mentions sensory aspects, the consistent technical praise supports a respectable sensory rating.

  • Rewatch Factor 65

Rewatch factor is influenced by the film’s immediate tension and its capacity to serve as an entertaining genre piece. Critics suggest it makes a strong rental selection and holds viewers’ attention throughout, whereas some viewers explicitly state they would avoid a second viewing. The mixed audience sentiment yields a moderate rewatch potential, leaning toward positive but not universal.
