What Is Java Head About?
The premise of Java Head without spoilers.
Set in 1800s Bristol, the Java Head shipping line is run by a patriarch with two different sons. The seafarer loves a local girl, but an old feud prevents marriage; he returns from a long voyage with an aristocratic Chinese wife, shocking the town. His brother, a land‑lubber, pushes steamships and secretly traffics contraband, angering his father.
