The story

What Is Human Beings About?

The premise of Human Beings without spoilers.

The morning after the summer’s biggest animal‑themed costume party, the streets are littered with remnants. Children in their outfits stumble home while Benny awakens in the back of a car parked on a hilltop as sunrise breaks. He recalls drugs, drinks, dancing and Aaron’s ridiculous zebra costume—how could two people wear the same suit? He also senses lingering mysteries involving unicorns, kisses, lions and hidden cupboards.
