Chloe Natasha Henstridge lives with her stepson Jacob Liam Dickinson in a luxurious mansion perched on an isolated peninsula, a place that is only reachable from the mainland by a swinging bridge. One evening, while hosting her friend Alice Johannah Newmarch, she confesses she has no idea where her husband Mike Jason Patric is or what he’s been doing, noting that he hasn’t replied to messages for days. The uneasy mood deepens when three strangers—two men and a woman—pull up outside, claiming to be lost. Alice steps out to help, but she is shot and killed, and Chloe and Jacob are forced to retreat and hide as the intruders push further into the house. Behind the scenes, Chloe’s private security company watches every room with hidden cameras, adding a cold, omniscient layer to the danger.

The attackers search for a secret safe, using metal detectors as they ransack the mansion, while a fourth member quietly sabotages the swing bridge to hold back the police. The woman among them, Victoria Knox Kyra Zagorsky, soon discovers Chloe and Jacob but they overpower Knox and bind her, hoping to keep her quiet until the coast is clear. The bridge eventually opens, and the police arrive, only to be blocked by the fourth intruder. A tense gunfight erupts, claiming the life of the sheriff Garry Chalk and several deputies as the attackers’ assault of the house continues. Meanwhile, the gang tracks down the hidden safe but finds it impossible to open, leaving a somber sense of looming loss.

Chloe is captured and pressured by Heflin Piers Scott Adkins, the gang’s calculated leader, who executes the failed safecracker to tighten his grip and coerce her into revealing the combination. He coolly explains that he killed her husband and that a object of immense value lies within the safe, but Chloe remains uncertain of any numbers or clues. In a fierce moment, she drives a knife into Heflin’s leg, using the distraction to escape once more with Jacob. Outside, Jacob leaps into a waiting SUV and rams the vehicle forward, striking and killing Knox in a brutal, decisive moment. The intruders’ plan starts to crumble as Chloe’s security system plays a cunning role once more.

The escape plan hinges on deception: the security company broadcasts a recording of Chloe’s voice to lure Heflin away from his pursuit, buying Chloe and Jacob precious seconds. With the distraction successful, Chloe seizes her husband’s gun and turns it on Heflin, delivering a final, fatal shot that ends the perilous showdown at the mansion. The confrontation leaves the house littered with evidence of the violent struggle, and the narrative closes with the still unopened safe standing as the last, haunting image—police markers dotting the scene, a silent testament to what remains hidden behind its locked doors.
