
High Tor, a 1936 play by Maxwell Anderson, was turned two decades later into a televised musical fantasy with music by Arthur Schwartz and lyrics by Anderson. Filmed by Desilu in November 1955 at RKO‑Pathé Studios, it aired March 10, 1956 on CBS as a 90‑minute Ford Star Jubilee episode, starring Bing Crosby, Julie Andrews, Nancy Olson, Hans Conreid and Keenan Wynn, and was directed by James Neilson.
