Here Comes Carter Plot Summary

What happens in Here Comes Carter from start to finish, spoilers included, with a timeline of 12 key events. The opening is below; the full summary is a 1-minute read.

Spoilers ahead

Kent Carter, Ross Alexander, a sharp-witted publicist for a movie studio, bitterly resents Craig Reynolds for courting Linda Warren, Anne Nagel, the woman he loves. Their feud deepens when Kent takes over as host, replacing tipsy radio commentator Mel Winter on the air, with Hobart Cavanaugh portraying him. Kent refuses to accept the puff pieces churned out by press agents, choosing instead to broadcast the unvarnished facts about the movie colony and frequently aiming pointed remarks at Marchbanks. His fast delivery, candid commentary, and snappy comebacks push him into becoming a radio star.
