Owners of Camp Pineway, John and Kathy, enjoy a serene evening by the lake, but their solace is shattered when a masked killer brutally murders them—John is silenced with an acoustic guitar shoved into his mouth, while a knife is gruesomely embedded into Kathy’s skull. This chilling act sets the stage for a horrifying sequence of events.

As the camp prepares for its opening day, eleven counselors arrive early to sort out operations. Among them is Jason Hochberg, a 24-year-old veteran of the camp who has a deep admiration for it but faces ridicule for his age. His responsibilities increase when he uncovers a disturbing note indicating an ‘emergency’ involving John and Kathy. Despite initial enthusiasm, Jason soon grapples with self-doubt and finds it challenging to bond with the other counselors, including his ex-girlfriend, Claire.

When night falls, the group decides to split up, leading to the first shocking realization as Demi, a popular social media influencer, meets a tragic end inside her cabin. Jason, while conducting routine checks, is heartbroken to discover her lifeless body and urgently attempts to rally the others, who dismiss his warnings as a prank. To their horror, when they investigate, Demi’s body is mysteriously gone. The group’s fear escalates further when Noelle, a girl fascinated by the supernatural, chillingly reveals that the bloodstains they found were indeed from Demi. Panic ensues as they rush to their cars only to find they won’t start. This chaos leads to two more counselors, Miley and Mike, disappearing under ominous circumstances.

As the remaining counselors barricade themselves inside a cabin, tension builds when they realize Miley and Mike are unaccounted for. Randomly selected, Ezra, Jason, and Ari venture out to find them, only to make a gruesome discovery: Miley’s severed head hidden in the fridge. Terror overwhelms them, leading to their immediate separation. Tragically, Ari’s deadly peanut allergy becomes the killer’s weapon when he’s abducted and stabbed, leaving Ezra to return to the group, where he accidentally maces himself with bear spray in a moment of desperation.

Compounding their ordeal, a tense ouija board session suggests that Jason is the killer, leading Bobby to tie him up out of fear. However, Claire bravely rescues him, and the two make a rushed decision to escape to the woods. While Claire searches for help, Jason, feeling the weight of responsibility, decides to go back. In a shocking turn of events, Noelle is brutally murdered with her head crushed, and the looming dread worsens as two masked killers emerge.

The unlikely villains are soon unveiled as Demi and Mike, whose scheme to create a murderous spectacle is driven by a desire for internet fame. They deceptively reintegrate into the group, and chaos reigns when Mike knocks Jason unconscious. The tension escalates, culminating in Ezra’s gruesome death when an axe mercilessly connects with his head. As Chris desperately attempts to regroup with Shannon, Bobby finds himself in a deadly chase with Mike.

In a heroic showdown, Claire returns, wielding a bottle to save Jason, ultimately leading to a fiery confrontation between Bobby and Mike, resulting in Mike’s demise at Bobby’s hand. Meanwhile, armed with a bow and arrow, Claire saves Jason, applying her archery skills to defeat Demi, who had taken him captive. In a moment of terrible finality, Claire ensures her victory by preparing to escape with Jason.

In the aftermath, the surviving group—Chris, Bobby, Shannon, Claire, and Jason—find solace in their unity. Shannon expresses her feelings for Chris, while the rekindled relationship between Jason and Claire blossoms anew, proving that amid chaos and horror, love can triumph, even in the darkest of times.
