On a quiet hillside, Sanjana, a divorcee, starts over in a home far from the city’s bustle. To keep a roof over her head, she runs her stepfather’s antique shop, a small but steady livelihood that helps the family settle into a new rhythm among the trees and fog. The house holds a chill that she tries to ignore, trusting in the routine of her days to keep fear at bay.

One day, a Tibetan old woman visits the shop and hands over an antique locket before she quietly departs. Sanjana sells the trinket to a tourist couple for 500 rupees, thinking it’s nothing more than a curious keepsake. But when she attempts to return the money to the mysterious visitor, she learns the woman is already dead. The locket mysteriously returns to Sanjana, and the tourists begin to feel hunted by a shadowy presence—the Tibetan lady seems intent on forcing the return of the pendant.

From there, a rising terror punctures every corner of her life. Sanjana is subjected to torment by an invisible demon, first in her bedroom, then in the shower, and even in front of her own children. The fear spills beyond her, as her dog becomes possessed and lunges at her and her younger brother—the Vicky, a fragile link to the family’s safety and routine, now caught in the horror. The nightmare bleeds into the everyday, turning a once-normal home into a place of dread and uncertainty.

Seeking help, she reaches out to a the psychiatrist, only to be met with skepticism. He does not believe her story, brushing aside every assertion despite her repeated accounts. The disbelief stings, amplifying the sense that she must fight this terror alone, even as the demonic pressure grows louder and more intimate.

The demon’s presence intensifies in intimate ways, culminating in a troubling encounter that she immediately regrets. The horror deepens when the demon abducts her younger daughter, leaving Sanjana with a hollow ache and a desperate drive to reclaim the child from a force that defies explanation.

In desperation, a psychiatric friend calls in a [parapsychologist], and together they begin to uncover the demon’s deeper origin. They learn the evil springs from an ancient well, once used by tribal people to punish criminals. A rapist was thrown into the well and struck down by lightning, and his vengeful spirit has since returned to haunt Sanjana. The parapsychologist works to bring the truth to light, even as the well’s dark energy lashes out at those who probe it.

The living room echoes with fear as the well is opened, and the unleashed phantoms surge outward, attacking the parapsychologist and others who resist the demon’s influence. In a bid to save her daughter, Sanjana must summon every ounce of courage and jump into the well herself, navigating a maze of spirits that threaten to overwhelm her.

Inside the depths, the spirits converge into a monstrous demon. With the Tibetan locket in hand, Sanjana hurls it at the creature, and the demon dissolves in a sudden, cathartic flash of light. As the danger eases, the soul of her father, Sanjana’s father, returns as an angel and brings back her younger daughter, offering a rare moment of peace amid the shadows.

Yet the finale remains uncertain. As Sanjana makes to leave, the door to the house slams shut on its own. A demonic voice calls from within, and when she opens the door, nothing is there—until, moments later, her younger daughter runs toward the house and the door snaps shut once more, leaving the future murky and the house once again full of unanswered questions.
