What Is Half Light About?

When darkness falls, the dead rise. Crime novelist Rachel Carson is devastated by her son’s accidental death and consumed by guilt. Seeking relief, she leaves the city for a vacant country house owned by a friend and begins a romance with local Angus. Rachel Carlson [Demi Moore] is a successful American murder mystery author living in London with her five-year-old son Thomas Carlson [Jordan El-Balawi] and her second husband Brian [Henry Ian Cusick], a talented book editor who has struggled to publish his own work. When Thomas drowns while playing along a canal by their home, the tragedy shatters Rachel, strains her marriage, and halts her latest manuscript. The loss cuts deep, and months later she finds it almost impossible to finish the book or sustain her relationship with Brian as they stand on the verge of divorce.
