Chrissy [Jennifer Love Hewitt] gains superhuman strength, Ping [Valerie Sing Turner] gains the ability to fly, and Mackenzie ‘Mac’ [Tina Bush] develops X-ray vision after a strange jolt of electricity at a hair salon owned by Chrissy’s friend Adrienne. The trio of best friends and Bay City High School cheerleaders discover that their ordinary teenage routines—careful about their looks, crushes, and getting ready for dances and a big cheerleading showdown—has suddenly become extraordinary.
