The premise of Great Expectations without spoilers.
Orphan Pip learns from lawyer Mr. Jagrows that a mysterious benefactor plans to make him a gentleman. He visits the home of Miss Havisham, the spiteful spinster abandoned at the altar, who has raised the beautiful but cold Estella to break hearts.
