Set in 1980s Seoul, three friends—Duk‑bae, Chun‑sik and Kil‑nam—navigate adulthood while working at a suburban Chinese restaurant, a barbershop and a motel. Uncertain about their futures, they spend their time swapping drinks and chasing romance. Kil‑nam pines for Jin‑ok, a hair‑salon employee; Chun‑sik pursues Yu, his fellow barber; and naïve Duk‑bae is torn between factory worker Chun‑sun and the upscale Myung‑hi.
