Galician Caress (of Clay) (1995): Cast

Reconstructed in 1995 by Javier Codesal for the Filmoteca de Andalucía, the film relies on Val del Omar’s original montage and sound plans for a project he left unfinished twenty years earlier, supplementing it with a significantly expanded soundtrack. Omar’s notes list alternative titles—“Acariño de la Terra Meiga,” “Acariño a nosa terra,” and “Barro de ánimas”—and describe his intention to add a second, diaphonic electro‑acoustic channel recorded during the first screenings in the very places and among the very people that gave the work its “clay.”
