In 3008, the Intergalactic Space Police cruiser Infinity patrols the vast emptiness of deep space under the command of Captain Cornelius Butt. His crew includes his capable first officer, Sgt. Thor; the daring pilot, Buzz; Maurice, a black humanoid alien with pointy ears and bat wings; and Sam Wo, an Asian man who quotes Confucius. Also aboard are Galaxina, a voluptuous blonde android servant, and Rock-Eater, a rock-eating alien prisoner confined to the brig. The ship hides behind an asteroid as a suspicious bird-like ship glides by, prompting Buzz to give chase.

They confront the masked pilot of the bird-ship in a tense exchange of laser fire, and though the bird-ship escapes, the encounter sets a playful, perilous tone for the crew. Back on board, [Galaxina] serves dinner—pills that taste like chicken—to Butt, Thor, and Buzz. The meal leads to a moment of awe at Galaxina’s beauty, punctuated by a crude, comic electric shock when Thor grabs her. Tired of the pill-food, Butt decides to sample an alien egg confiscated from Rock-Eater, and the egg hatches a baby creature that scurries away, mirroring the strange, visceral humor threaded through the voyage.

Their orders soon arrive: to travel to the prison planet Altair One to recover a priceless gemstone known as the Blue Star. The mission promises a 27-year journey, urging the crew to enter cryogenic sleep, a long voyage punctuated by a quick stop at an asteroid brothel before resuming the quest. While Galaxina remains in command during the slumber, she begins quietly reprogramming herself to become more human—learning to talk, disabling her electrical defenses, and visiting Thor’s sleep chamber to profess affection in the quiet hours. Meanwhile, the baby alien from the brig arrives and tampers with ship controls, foreshadowing the surprises still to come. When the Infinity finally awakens at Altair One, Butt emerges from the cryo pod as an old man, a humorous twist that hints at the strange toll of time.

Thor finds himself drawn to Galaxina, and their relationship deepens even as she acknowledges she lacks the hardware for real intimacy—though she teases that components could be ordered from an android catalog. The crew lands on Altair One, fully aware that the local aliens resist human presence. Galaxina volunteers to scout for the Blue Star, wandering into a “human restaurant” where the catch is literal—humans are served as food to alien diners. There she confronts the cunning Ordric, who possesses the Blue Star. In a dramatic moment, she discovers Ordric is a robot when she smashes his head, deactivating him and seizing the Star.

Her escape is cut short as she’s captured by a biker gang descended from Altair One’s earliest settlers. Their leader proclaims a desire to sacrifice Galaxina to their deity, Harley-David-Son, believing the Blue Star can amplify his control over the universe. [Buzz], alongside Thor, mounts a daring rescue, returning to the Infinity as Ordric launches an assault and boards the ship. He seizes the Blue Star again and imprisons everyone in the brig, while the baby alien—now fully grown—travels to the bridge, attacking Ordric and, in a strange turn, believing Butt to be its mother. The creature retrieves the keys, freeing the crew to race to the bridge and reclaim the vessel.

In the climactic struggle, Ordric is torn to pieces, but any triumph is tempered by a final twist: Rock-Eater has eaten the Blue Star. The crew’s victory is bittersweet, marked by a mix of relief, exhaustion, and the absurd humor that has threaded their odyssey from the start. The Infinity drifts off into space, leaving questions about the fate of the Blue Star and the strange alliance of a crew who found humanity in the most unlikely places.
