Loose cannon Kwak Jang-bae (Shin Ha-kyun) is a neighborhood policeman whose hyperactive libido colors both his work and his private life. He relentlessly pursues sexual encounters with his live-in girlfriend, Ji-su (Uhm Ji-won), an English teacher at a private school who finds his crude bravado exhausting and unfulfilling. Their relationship becomes a delicate balance between attraction, power, and the growing distance between desire and respect.

Ju Ja-hye (Baek Jin-hee) is a blunt, ambitious high-school student who monetizes her sex appeal by selling sweat-stained panties online and fantasizes about losing her virginity to Sang-du (Ryoo Seung-bum), a rough, emotionally distant fish-sausage seller who isn’t eager to participate in her plan. The tension between their wishes exposes the way longing can collide with indifference, leaving Ja-hye to parse the reasons behind Sang-du’s hesitation and her own craving for validation.

Ja-hye’s mother Sun-shim (Shim Hye-jin) runs a hanbok shop and becomes entranced by the man who owns the hardware store opposite, Gi-bong (Sung Dong-il). What starts as curiosity blossoms into a clandestine dynamic, as Sun-shim takes on a dominatrix role in the back of Gi-bong’s shop, revealing a hidden world of control, consent, and fantasy that sits just beneath the surface of ordinary life.

Kim Gwang-rok (Oh Dal-su) is Ja-hye’s teacher, a married man who hides a private kink—wearing women’s clothes when his wife is away. His quiet, secret life adds another layer to the film’s exploration of disguise, sexuality, and the quiet rebellions that people quietly nurture.

When Jang-bae learns that Ji-su has ordered a vibrator online, his sense of manhood is shaken, and he abruptly halts their intimacy. The moment crystallizes a crisis of ego and power, forcing both to confront how much their relationship is built on performance, dominance, and fear of inadequacy.

As the neighborhood faces a planned moral clean-up campaign by the police, the already fragile boundaries between propriety and desire begin to crumble. The enforcement drive brings the town’s hidden indulgences into sharper focus, pushing its residents toward confrontations that blend humor with discomfort and reveal how tightly wound social codes can intersect with personal yearnings.

The story threads together a mosaic of characters who populate this tightly knit section of the city — including the Flower shop girl (Oh Youn-hong) and Soo-jung (Kim A-joong) — whose presence adds texture to the community’s layered dynamics as the crackdown intensifies. Through intimate vignettes and interconnected lives, the film presents a frank, human portrait of desire, vulnerability, and the sometimes blink-and-you-miss-it lines between private longing and public judgment.
