Larry, Stanley Tucci, an expatriate piano player, settled in a remote island village seven years ago. He now runs a small boutique hotel with his girlfriend, Miranda, Jessica Hynes. Each evening he performs at a local restaurant to a largely inattentive crowd, a routine that leaves him restless and craving something grand.

Seeking to shake up his life, he proposes a grand gala concert dedicated to Valentin Lucinsky, a native son and celebrated composer, with Veronica, Marisa Paredes, the composer’s widow, still living in a grand villa on the island.
