Mark, a socially awkward yet successful entrepreneur, has held a long-standing infatuation for Connie, dating back to their school days. Their paths intriguingly cross again years later at the funeral of Connie’s boyfriend, an event that sparks a mix of emotions for both. As Mark part ways, he impulsively hands her his business card, setting off a series of unexpected events.

This card catches the attention of Johnny, a former classmate, who soon learns that Mark’s tech start-up is poised for a lucrative acquisition at the staggering sum of £20 million. Seizing the moment, Johnny concocts a plan that involves convincing Connie to seduce Mark, marry him, and later divorce him to claim half of the fortune. Despite the onslaught of psychological warfare from Mark and his allies, Connie remains resilient, driven primarily by Johnny’s manipulative influence and the allure of the impending financial windfall. Still, when the wedding day arrives, Connie experiences a moment of clarity upon discovering an old, heartfelt poem that Mark penned for her during their childhood.
