What Is Fools About?
The premise of Fools without spoilers.
Set in Charterston Township, 1990, Professor Zamani, teaching history in Afrikaans, organizes a National Day picnic on the Boers’ massacre of the Zulu. Zani, brother of his rape victim, returns from Swaziland to upend the status quo. Their meeting at Johannesburg station forces men to face the township’s harsh reality under the eyes of women.
