Set in 1905 amid Poland’s partitioned lands, the film follows a feverish anarchist underground. A bomb‑maker creates an explosive intended for young, inexperienced terrorists fighting Tsarist oppression. The device changes hands, driving multiple assassination attempts on the Tsarist governor‑general, before a bomb expert finally renders it harmless. The quest consumes the revolutionaries, leading to death or collapse.
