What Is Fase About?
The premise of Fase without spoilers.
“Fase” features three duets and a solo, set to Steve Reich’s minimalist works—Piano Phase, Come Out, Violin Phase and Clapping Music. As Reich’s tones slowly shift in rhythm and melody, the choreography mirrors this phase‑shifting, producing abstract movements that are impeccably precise, almost mechanical, yet oddly affecting.
