Nearly six months have passed since the events of the first film; Noa Briqualon, Wilford Brimley is close to finishing his own star cruiser, and Jeremitt Towani, Paul Gleason is applying the final touches as the Towani family prepares to leave the forest moon of Endor. But danger returns when a Marauder group led by Terak, Carel Struycken, and his witch-like ally Charal, Siân Phillips, storms the Ewok village. Many Ewoks are captured, while Jeremitt Towani and Mace Towani, Eric Walker, are killed defending the village. From the chaos, the Marauders steal a power cell from the Towani’s star cruiser, convinced it holds magical power over the stars.
While fleeing, Cindel Towani, Aubree Miller, and Wicket W. Warrick, Warwick Davis, cross paths with Teek [Niki Botelho], a small, fast native of Endor, who guides them to Noa Briqualon Wilford Brimley, a human who initially ejects them but later proves kinder. Though wary at first, Noa begins to warm to the group as Teek helps them find food and shelter; he reveals that he is rebuilding his own wrecked star cruiser and is missing the energy cell, and that his friend Salak disappeared while searching for another cell. Cindel is awakened one morning by a song her mother used to sing, and she follows the voice to a woman who transforms into Charal and leads her to Terak, who orders Cindel to activate the power, a demand she cannot fulfill.
Outside, Noa, Wicket, and Teek slip into Terak’s castle, free Cindel and the Ewoks, and escape with the energy cell. Terak, Charal, and the Marauders pursue them back to the ship, where Wicket leads the Ewoks in defense of the cruiser as Noa powers up the energy cell and uses the ship’s laser cannons to fend off the attackers. Cindel goes to save Wicket and is captured by Terak, as the remaining Marauders retreat. Terak and Noa face off, with Wicket finally coming to the rescue, killing Terak and simultaneously leaving Charal trapped in bird form. Shortly thereafter, goodbyes are said, and Cindel leaves Endor with Noa on his starship.
