K. K. Singhania, a shrewd business tycoon, buys the Maharaja International hotel from P. K. Diwani. Soon he discovers a dhaba inside the hotel complex, run by a petty man named Raja, which gnaws at the hotel’s profits. Every ploy to dislodge the dhaba ends up backfiring, lending the situation a comic edge and setting the tone for the tangle of schemes that follow.

Singhania’s daughter, Kiran Singhania, is in love with Rahul, a man who is secretly being financed by a conspirator, Bishambar Nath. At the same time, Raja’s interest in Kiran grows, and he proclaims his affection before Singhania, who swiftly rejects him.

Despite his daughter’s feelings, Singhania suspects Rahul’s true character and warns Kiran not to marry him. He states a stark condition: Kiran may marry any man—destitute or even someone who is his enemy—except Rahul. This tense clash over love and loyalty drives the early part of the story and foreshadows the deeper tensions beneath the surface.

Tensions escalate when Singhania, in a bid to remove Raja’s dhaba, uses a municipal bulldozer, which backfires as Raja retaliates by causing damage to the hotel’s top floor. Enraged, Singhania declares Raja his greatest enemy. Unfazed by the bluster, Kiran overhears the confrontation and decides to take matters into her own hands, enacting a mendacious love affair with Raja to win his affection and test her father’s resolve.

The scheme thickens as Raja’s affection for Kiran grows, but she eventually ends the affair and brands Rahul as her true partner. Raja warns her about Rahul’s real intentions and aligns himself with Singhania, attempting to persuade Kiran of her father’s concerns. Yet the father’s stance shifts again, and he finally proclaims that he would be willing to see Kiran married to Raja.

Kiran leaves for Rahul’s home, and Rahul sees a golden opportunity to gain Singhania’s wealth by having his daughter under his control. He assaults Kiran, confines her, and demands Singhania surrender his entire wealth as the price of her life.

Raja learns of the danger and teams with Singhania to outsmart Bishambar Nath. They arrive at Rahul’s residence, manipulating the situation so the two men turn on each other. When Singhania arrives with documents that seem to transfer all the wealth to Bishambar, Bishambar signs without reading them, only to discover that the papers are not property deeds but his confession: a record of kidnapping Kiran and threatening her life, along with a claim on his clothes and other belongings. His men seize his possessions as the police arrive and arrest Rahul, Bishambar Nath, and their associates.

In the final scene, the tensions resolve as Singhania, Kiran, and Raja unite, bringing the tumultuous power play at Maharaja International to a close with a sense of reconciliation and renewed family ties.
