What Is Doña Perfecta About?
The premise of Doña Perfecta without spoilers.
Pepe, a liberal farmer, arrives in Santa Fe to stay with his aunt Doña Perfecta. He tries to introduce progressive ideas, but the traditional townspeople resist. Hostile reactions force him to seek refuge with his aunt, who tolerates him only because he is family. When Pepe falls deeply in love with his cousin Rosario, the clash of ideals and emotions comes to a head.
