In the forgotten neighbourhood of ha‑Argazim, the one‑year anniversary of Morris Mandabon’s death looms. His youngest son Nissim dreams that his father commands him to reopen the old local cinema, breaking Morris’s long‑standing vow never to screen films again. Determined, Nissim joins his brother George and former projectionist Aharon Gabardine to fulfill the request. On the same day, Morris’s brother Avram returns after a 25‑year absence for the memorial, stirring old family feuds.
