What Is Dead Cold About?

When a carjacking leaves L.A. screenwriter Eric with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, his wife Alicia tends to him until he recovers. Four months later they travel to a remote mountain cabin for a second honeymoon. While they relax before a crackling fire, a disoriented hunter named Cale—apparently lost in a snowstorm and nearly frozen—stumbles to their door, shattering the peace.
