
Detective Lt. Dan August returns to his hometown of Santa Luisa, California, where he and his partner Wilentz probe two intertwined crimes. First, they investigate the murder of two vagrants who died after drinking poisoned whiskey, then they pursue the brutal rape and killing of a young woman. The story is compiled from two episodes of Burt Reynolds’ original Dan August series.
