Vinay is a mariner who travels to his ancestral home in Kerala with his young son to meet his father Shankaran, a village doctor who also sermons in astrology and ancient sciences. The grandson’s arrival reveals a delicate tension: Sam is diabetic, and Vinay hopes his father can offer a healing path for his son. The family dynamics begin to unfold under the quiet influence of a place where old knowledge still holds sway and where fate seems to hum in the margins of everyday life.

Meera is an orphan who has grown up with Shankaran, treated almost as a daughter by the family, and she shares a quiet, companionable bond with Vinay. Meera helps tend patients and becomes a stabilizing force in the household, even as a forbidden feeling flickers between her and Vinay. When Shankaran studies their horoscopes, a chilling revelation emerges: every time Vinay and Meera express their love, something terrible would follow.
