Set in December 1944, conductor Lionel Evans leads his 70‑piece USO orchestra through liberated Belgium. Fleeing a German counter‑attack, they are captured by a Panzer division and held in a Luxembourg chateau. Though ordered to execute the prisoners, General Schiller, a music lover, spares them and demands a private concert.
