What Is Ciro-Norte About?

During a stormy night in a bleak city, scientist Ciro Norte straps himself to a wired chair as lightning strikes, his experiment failing. The next day he drives his jalopy to a bar, sits alone and weeps, when a vortex pulls him into a dream where he evades man‑eating fish and is cradled by a sand‑buried Venus. He awakens in the bar, transformed.
