Chung Chi Ku Feng leads Roast Chicken Andy Lau and Tai Lan Choi Alex Man as the largest triad organization in Amsterdam’s Chinatown, a community where loyalty, money, and protection weave a tense web around every deal. Singer Yin Hung Carina Lau, performing in Amsterdam, is abducted, and the event triggers a violent chain reaction that Chi and his underlings barely contain. After the crisis subsides, Chi and Hung marry, while Roast Chicken, who secretly admires Hung, watches with a sense of loneliness. The rival gang takes advantage of the chaos to attack; during a shootout, Roast Chicken and Tai Lan Choi are killed while shielding Chi from the bullets, and their driver Chan Chiu Chan Tat-Kwong is crippled. Yin Hung protects Tai Lai Choi’s sons Bobby Russell Wong and Danny [Steven Vincent Leigh](/actor/steven-vincent Leigh), and Chi rescues Bobby and Danny, raising them as part of his extended family. Over more than a decade, Chi rebuilds his power in Chinatown and unites rival gangs under a peaceful, mutually beneficial treaty, a fragile equilibrium that many depend on. The community elects Chi as the Godfather, and he is affectionately known as Uncle Chi for keeping a tranquil atmosphere amid the urban heat. But new pressures emerge when Scalia Billy Drago arrives with designs on Chinatown, secretly using a Turkish drug dealer as a spy and teaming up with Chi’s rival Fan Tai Tung William Ho to ambush and kill Chi. Bobby and Danny manage to escape, setting the stage for another brutal clash that tests loyalties and the costs of power.
