Six months after winning the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have returned home to District 12, the poorest sector of Panem. He warns that she must convince the country that her actions were driven by love for Peeta, or else her loved ones, including Gale Hawthorne, will pay the price.
